An exceptional place in the middle of the Pacific

At the end of 2019 we were able to go to this very isolated Pacific island, 4h30 by Boeing from the nearest city, Brisbane in Australia. Nauru's recent history makes it particularly interesting. In the 90s the island had the 2nd largest GDP per capita in the world thanks to its Phosphate, one of the purest. In the early 2000s following the fall in prices and a risky management of their fortune, Nauru and the Nauruans found themselves ruined.
The kindness of the inhabitants is striking as soon as you arrive on the island. Under the impetus of the new government, tourism should begin in this independent country, which until now has been ranked as the least visited in the world, as soon as the strict access restrictions linked to the Covid crisis are lifted.

Aerial filming with a DJI drone

The DJI Inspire 2 drone's 6K super 35 sensor with its X7 camera allows for cinematic use of images. This system is particularly suitable for very isolated locations, where the weight of the equipment is an important factor. The Inspire 2 also allowed us to fly in windy conditions, which are common on this equatorial island.
The professional or private use of drones in Nauru is subject to obtaining prior authorizations.
