Rare footage of the Yenisei River still frozen in spring near the Arctic port of Dudinka. The nuclear icebreaker Vaygach cuts a channel through the thick ice layer, allowing a cargo ship to advance in its wake. Massive ice floes are broken and pushed aside by the vessel. A spectacular scene illustrating the extreme navigation and supply conditions of this isolated region in northern Siberia.
